Decreasing Capacity Obligations Next Week May Result in Savings

The east coast is forecasted to have sustained hot weather throughout next week (July 15-19). Hot weather means there is a likelihood that we see a year-to-date system peak in ISO-NE, NYISO, and PJM. If you are able, curtailing or reducing your electricity loads during the afternoon next week may decrease your capacity obligations, which may save you money in the future on electricity.
