There is established within the Department a Natural Gas Vehicle and Infrastructure Development Program for the purpose of facilitating the use of natural gas in the United States as an alternative transportation fuel, in order to achieve the maximum feasible reduction in domestic oil use. NATIONAL PLUG-IN ELECTRIC DRIVE VEHICLE DEPLOYMENT PROGRAM.
